# Publishing Documents

Convert a PDF file to a Published DRM Document

To publish a new document:

### Fill out the Publishing form

Enter a **Name** and **On-device Name** (the name shown in App)

### Select a file for Publishing

Click on the 'Select File' area and choose a PDF file from the choice available.

If no PDF files are shown you will need to first upload a suitable PDF file in the [My Files](/sentinel-documentation/resources/my-files.md) page.

### Publish the document

Click the 'Publish' button and the PDF file will be submitted for Publishing.

Publishing may take a while so ensure to prepare all DRM documents ahead of time.

### Monitor Publishing Status

After submitting for publishing the Document will appear in the Publishing log below the submission form.

All Documents are assigned a unique node ID and show publishing statuses

When the status columns show 'success' the document is published and ready for assignment to your users.

Sometimes publishing failures can happen due to corrupted PDF files.

In the event of publishing failure please contact YUDU Sentinel support and provide the Document Node ID for assistance.
